These Renault Clio subframes are prone to corrosion issues, especially in high road salt use countries and areas. The Subframe rots becoming unstable and prone to collapse or fracture. This generally happens un-noticed as the undertray that covers the radiator support panel isn't removed for normal servicing. The issue generally comes to light when the tray falls off or it is removed for larger servicing jobs like cambelts or clutches.
